The Sterlite Power Solution Optimizer is a unique interactive module that analyses the intended performance parameters across a variety of installation terrains and recommends an optimal power conductor with respect to design effectiveness and transmission performance. Key parameters such as Sag, Voltage Drop, Power Loss, Creep and DC Resistance can also be computed at the click of a button.

STER-ACCC® Power conductors
STER-ACCC® Power conductors are high ampacity, low loss hybrid conductors of carbon, glass fiber and trapezoidal shaped aluminum, that are resistant to environmental degradation. These conductors can reduce line losses up to 40% compared with conventional conductors of the same diameter and weight. These conductors are recommended for new transmission lines, future-proofed for high capacity power transfer, as well as for re-conductoring applications wherein the line capacity can be enhanced without modification to the tower structure. These conductors are under license from CTC Cable Corporation, USA.
STER-ACSS™ Power conductors
STER-ACSS™ Power conductors are high ampacity, low loss conductors in steel and high temperature aluminum. These conductors can carry up to 100% more current compared with ASCR of the same size and can operate at temperatures up to 250°C, with zero creep and low susceptibility to Aeolian vibration fatigue. These conductors are recommended for transmission lines with very high or fluctuating loads.
STER-STACIR™ Power conductors
STER-STACIR™ Power conductors are high ampacity conductors in 'super thermal aluminum' (STAL) and aluminum clad INVAR alloy. These conductors can carry 100% more current compared with ASCR of the same size, while maximum sag and working tension remains the same. These conductors are recommended for re-conductoring applications wherein the line capacity can be enhanced without modification to the tower structure.
STER-TACSR™ Power conductors
STER-TACSR™ Power conductors are high ampacity conductors in galvanized steel and thermal resistant aluminum alloy. These conductors can carry 50%-60% more current compared with ASCR of the same size. These conductors are recommended for new transmission lines, future-proofed for high capacity power transfer.
STER-AL59™ Power conductors
STER-AL59™ Power conductors are homogenous conductors in aluminum + magnesium + silica alloy. These conductors have lower sag, higher current carrying and power transfer capacity with lesser cross sectional area. These conductors are suited for use in low voltage to ultra-high voltage lines.
STER-AAAC™ Power conductors
STER-AAAC™ Power conductors are homogeneous conductors in aluminum alloy. These conductors have intrinsic features of zero corrosion, high strength to weight ratio, better sag characteristics and hence are suited for installation in long spans.
STER-ACSR™ Power conductors
STER-ACSR™ Power conductors are bi-metallic conductors in aluminum and zinc coated steel. The aluminum cladding of the steel wires provides a first-rate protection against corrosion whilst allowing an improvement in the electrical conductivity of these wires.
STER-AACSR™ Power conductors
STER-AACSR™ Power conductors are bi-metallic conductors in aluminum alloy and zinc coated steel. These conductors offer optimal strength for line design and the variable steel core stranding enables desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.
STER-ACAR™ Power conductors
STER-ACAR™ Power conductors are bi-metallic conductors in aluminum and aluminum alloy. These conductors are a good selection when both ampacity and strength are prime considerations in line design. These conductors offer high strength and allow high voltages in large span runs.
STER-AAC™ Power conductors
STER-AAC™ Power conductors are homogeneous conductors in pure aluminum. These conductors are suited for low voltage lines linking bridges between the dead-end clamps of the high-voltage lines installed with aluminum conductors steel reinforced and are also suited for high-voltage busbars at the sub-stations.
